Trending: Faux wood, Faux Bois

Well faux wood grain.  Faux Bois is the French word referring to the imitation of wood or wood grain. Apparently the latest thing. Little did I know when we received this fabric at Purl and I thought about it for 2 hours then bought 3 yards. Hmmm.....table runner, skirt, napkins....will look perfect next to our faux bois wall paper. I guess our wall paper technically is not faux bois but faux bois inspired.

Wall paper in a box just needing to be unrolled and hung.  But the new fabric I am in love with.

Elle Decor this month has listed faux bois under the trend alert.  Do you need some wood in your home?

I think the tables might be my favorite. I always have loved the idea of a round table. It seems so much more inviting and communal.  If investing in a table is too much of a plunge you can always add the pillows. Here are some fabrics being offered with some faux bois.  And don't feel just because these are home dec fabrics you need to make pillows. Make a tote or a nice utilitarian skirt for the fall. What else would you make with these fabrics?
